You may already know that you can mass email contacts from the Contacts list view - now, you can mass email your contacts after you create your call list. If you haven't created a call list for prospecting yet, then learn how to do so from this step-by-step guide first.
In this article, you will learn how to access your lists and send a personalized email template to your contacts with only a few clicks.
How to Access your Lists
While you typically access your lists from the List Widget at the bottom, you can also access it from the Lists Object. This is where you will be able to select one of your lists to send an email blast to:
Once you select your list of choice, you will be brought to this page where you can view all the contacts in your list:
How to Send Mass Emails
On the top right-hand corner of the record page, you should be able to see a button that says Send Email to Members or you can locate this button when you select the dropdown arrow. If you do not have this option available, then please alert your System Administrator or reference Updating Record Page Layouts for adding buttons to the list object page layout.
After clicking the button you should see a pop-up screen that allows you to select the Contacts of your choice (or all), select an existing email template or draft your own email on the spot:
Known Limitations
1. Sending mass emails is only for Contacts at the moment. For example: If you have a call list of Properties, the platform will not automatically know to send an email to the Property Owners listed for each Property record. You will need to ensure your call list only contains Contacts (Property Owner contacts, Tenant contacts, etc.) in order to use this mass emailing feature.
2. If you select Define own email content you will not have the ability to personalize with merge fields. However, you can do so when you create email templates.
