This article discusses Global Actions, which encompasses various types of Activities to help you stay on track with your day-to-day workflow and follow up plans. Some of these actions include:
- Logging a call
- Creating a new task
- Adding a new note
- Adding a new event
- Composing email
- ....custom actions
The Global Actions menu is located in the upper-right corner (the [+] button), as shown below.
This menu is static, meaning it is available regardless of what object or page you are on. One major benefit is you can jot down a note, compose an email, or log a call without disrupting what you are currently working on. Let's say you're reviewing your list of Properties to create a List View and you receive a call from a new lead - Global Actions will allow you to log that call event immediately.
In addition to logging activity, you can create follow-up activities from the Global Actions menu. Some activities, such as Tasks, are managed in other areas of the application.
